Philip lives in Norfolk with his partner. He has worked as an engineer with Lotus Cars, a college lecturer and an occasional writer for what was at the time the UK’s biggest selling boating magazine.

Deciding he’d had enough of being an employee he sailed singlehandedly an elderly and ‘unsuitable’ catamaran around the world. He has written three books and a fourth is due to be published in 2026.

Set in the Norfolk Broads, the UK East Coast and the Netherlands there will be humour, tragedy and boating. Meet 35- year-old Paul Williams. Divorced. Unassertive. Trying his best to live a simple stress-free life. If only it were that easy.

He lives on his scruffy plywood yacht moored in Davison's Dyke on the Norfolk Broads - the cheapest and most isolated moorings in the village with zero facilities - and teaches at the local college.
