Ian Judson

I have a BA (Hons) degree in Journalism and Digital Media, plus my MA in English, and I am a Rugby Football League accredited journalist.

I have had various plays on stage and I continue to write them to this day because I enjoy writing in various forms.

​

I am a registered carer with East Riding of Yorkshire Council for my mum and dad and my hobbies include running regularly (I volunteer and run at Beverley Westwood parkrun every week) and watching movies.

​

Research is very big for me, particularly history, and especially about The Holocaust, because I am related to British Hero of the Holocaust Sister Agnes (Clare) Walsh, she was actually my Great Auntie Ada Vallinda Walsh.

​

I am known more for journalism and play writing, but since I had the biography I wrote about Auntie Ada now published, I feel book writing is another string to my bow and something I am eager to explore, especially with a few more books already partially written, and very near completion.

I also seem to increasingly get booked to go and talk to various groups , particularly about Auntie Ada and I’ve also given talks about WW1 and rugby league hero Jack Harrison VC MC, something else that I am very eager to continue doing.

I love learning, and I love helping people, and helping others to learn as well.
